Crust Rim Brake Rim Wheelsets

The Crust Rim Brake rims were designed by Matt with 42-48mm tires in mind. They are double wall for durability, but slimmed down where they can be to keep them as light as possible.(I am not aware of a lighter weight rim in this width that is rim brake.) The front hub is a Shutter Precision SV-8 Dynamo with the connectors included. The rear wheel features a Sheriff Star style hub body with a Shimano drive, 12 speed compatible driver. The driver has 3 pawls with 3 teeth each that provide a nice, crisp engagement.

Spoke Tension:

These rims are very light weight and if you try to run the tension up super high with some sort of plan to have a wheel set that feels like you're rolling on a set of dull saw blades, they may not be for you. If that is the case, maybe look into some carbon tri spokes. If you have a Park Tool Tension Meter, the ideal reading will be somewhere between 15 and 20, anything past 20 I wouldn't recommend. If you go by feel then the wheels tend to come in a pretty good spot tension wise.
